George Holland

Throughout his career, George has played hundreds of events all over the west coast, including bookings at the legendary Spundae weekly in San Francisco and more recently a residency alongside Bryan Zentz at Portland’s techno monthly R9.
A self-proclaimed digger, George prides himself on seeking out choice underground music without resorting to your typical Top 100 Beatport fodder. He believes that the spirit of electronic music lies with the imagination and innovation of small-time producers and does his best to bring a true independent sound to the forefront, whether it be dark and techy or more uptempo and house-flavored.
This seasoned take on music results in a classically-delivered high-caliber dancefloor workout that a generation of partygoers have come to expect.

George Holland began mixing records in 1993 and quickly established himself as a Northwest favorite throughout the 90′s and into the current century. In the 18 years since, he has journeyed through many genres, starting with breakbeat hardcore and jungle, then moving on to breaks and house, and eventually finding his true voice in the techno sound, which he began to primarily focus on in 1999. The clean, looping sound of modern techno lends itself perfectly to George’s skill set, consisting of lightning-fast mixing, liberal EQ work and delivery of a set that is constantly in motion.
